10 Tennis Quickies!

1 A French newspaper looked under the skirt of Maria Sharapova and came up with the most distasteful article ever written about tennis. Is this what French photographers are trying to get in the pits? Martina Hingis doesn't like it either! Respect women's tennis, please!

2 Everyone is following Vika's steps. Andrea Petkovic got a new hairstyle with bangs. Juan Monaco cuts his hair the sexy way.

3 Novak Djokovic will be going for the first time to Brazil in November. World nº1 has a massive fan club in Carnival's homeland and will play an exhibition match in Rio de Janeiro against Gustavo Kuerten. The program will include a visit to a favela (slum) and a soccer game.


4 Sabine Lisicki is one of 2012 Olympics London's bright young stars featured in a Nike girls campaign. The new project Play is  aimed at getting women to look again at the traditionally masculine sportswear label. The videos and photos are an exclusive of Vogue.UK.

Fernando Verdasco gave his dad a cool bike for birthday (June 10). Here's a picture of the bike and of the happy dad riding it!

Andy Murray has signed an ambassador agreement with Swiss watch brand Rado. Murray said, “I’m really excited about joining the Rado team.”

7  WTA Tournament Gastein Ladies in Germany hosted a players party with a Greek theme. Julia Goerges and everyone else showed up in togas and hair braids :)

 WTA AEGON Classic tournament, in Birmingham, UK, was delayed on Moday due to the rain. To entertain herself while it was raining cats and dogs, Jelena Jankovic went to visit Cadbury World and ate a lot of chocolate. Sabine Lisicki and Kimiko Date-Krumm headed to Malmaison Hotel for some mocktail making. 

9  Russia hosted a Tennis Legends tournament. Marat Safin, Elena Dementieva, Martina Hingis, Goran Ivanisevic and Bjorn Borg were some of the legends who played against Russian businessemen. At the players party, Elena Dementieva was in Top Model mode...looking gorgeous!

10  Yaroslava Shvedova got a main draw wild card for Wimbledon. On her Facebook, she said, "I'm so happy and can't wait to be back there!"
