Tennis Olympic Draw: Can Federer and Serena repeat Wimby?


World No. 1 Roger Federer will meet Colombia’s Alejandro Falla in the first round at the London Olympic Tennis Event, which begins in a few hours. Federer, who is appearing at his fourth Olympic Games, is in the same half of the draw as fourth seed David Ferrer, reports ATP.  
Second seed Novak Djokovic, the 2008 Beijing Olympics bronze medalist, will challenge Fabio Fognini of Italy in the first round. The 2-ranked player is in the same half of the draw as third seed and British favourite Andy Murray, who faces Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland. Fifth seed Jo-Wilfried Tsonga of France will meet Brazil’s Thomaz Bellucci.

In the Ladies tournament, world No.1 Victoria Azarenka will play in the first round with Romania's Irina-Camelia Begu. In Vika's quarter of the draw there's also former Gold Medalist and five times Wimbledon champion, Venus Williams. The other sister, Serena, has a tough match in the 1st round against Jelena Jankovic. Also on her section of the board are Caroline Wozniacki and Vera Zvonareva. Third-ranked Maria Sharapova meets Shahar Peer in the opening match and has some tougher competitors on her quarter: Ana Ivanovic, Kim Clijsters, Sam Stosur and Sabine Lisicki. Julia Goerges and Agnieszka Radwanska will play an interesting first-round match, in the fourth section that also features 2011 Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitová.

Wimbledon: Federer and Djokovic could meet in the semis

The Wimbledon Singles Draw is now available. Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer are on a collision course once again, and could meet in the semifinal at Wimbledon. It's the 16th time in the past 21 majors, that the Serbian and the Swiss find themselves in the same half of the men's draw. Both will face Spaniards in the first round: Novak will play against Juan Carlos Ferrero and Roger will face Albert Ramos.
This means Rafael Nadal has eventually an easier path to the final. The Spanish has home hope Andy Murray, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Feliciano Lopez, Tommy Haas and Alexandr Dolgopolov as possible opponents. 

In the ladies draw, Maria Sharapova seems to have her way clear to the final. Her possible opponents are Sabine Lisicki, Jelena Jankovic and Angelique Kerber. Victoria Azarenka is on the bottom half of the draw and she will have Caroline Wozniacki on her course for a quarter-final clash.

French Open: Federer in Djokovic's way; Nadal gets easy draw

Roger Federer will come in the way of Novak Djokovic's chance to become the first man in 43 years to hold all four Grand Slam titles at the same time. Both are in the same section of the men's main draw at Roland Garros and could meet again in the semi-final, just like in 2011.

Rafael Nadal, bidding for an historic seventh title, has an easier draw, and could play against Andy Murray in the quarters.

In the first round, Djokovic is set to face Italy's Potito Starace, while Federer will go against Germany's Tobias Kamke and Nadal starts off against Simone Bolelli.

In the women's draw, Victoria Azarenka has Samantha Stosur as a possible quarter-final match-up. But the biggest clash is set for a possible quarter-final Maria Sharapova vs.Serena Williams.
